I think where Socialism fails is that it identifies common wealth as Capital. I am so incredibly lucky to have been raised the way I was as a Boy Scout. I will always be a Boy Scout. I was heartbroken when my Scoutmaster sat us down and told us that girls would start joining my troop, it was never the same again. my troop ended up splitting because of parent disagreements and I was practicaly shunted into the SPL position, at least for the boys side of my troop. I will be completing my Eagle before the end of the year, and then I will be leaving. It breaks my heart to think that I am among the last of the Boy Scouts. Soli Deo Gloria.

You seem to ignore the fact that at the time of the 2nd Amendment there bas basically NO US military force, there were as few as 80 members of the US military. The US Govt sold off most of their war materials after the Revolutionary war to pay its debts. The defense of the US fell to state VOLUNTEER militias which were comprised of the citizens of that state. The state did not arm the militias thus they need to have their own weapons. DUH!

By guess for one of the reason of allowing girls and removing the exclusivity for boys is because the Girls Scout program is not well organized, and only appeals to girls that just want to learn house skills. My sister only did a couple years of it when she was younger and left because of these reasons and was jealous of me for being in Boy (cub) Scouts and what we got to do.
